What Arise Church is about:
Arise Church LOVES Jesus, FOLLOWS Him and SHARES His love with our community and beyond.
What We Believe
There is only one true God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Commonly known as the Trinity
- Matthew 28:19
- Luke 3:21-22
God in the flesh, born as the Father’s son. He is divine yet was born as a human. Jesus was crucified, buried, risen and now lives forever.
- Matthew 1:23
- 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
The Holy Spirit is…
The Spirit of Christ within us upon salvation. The Holy Spirit makes Himself known through signs and wonders that are still relevant today. We believe He gives us wisdom, discernment, the power to heal and the ability to speak words of wisdom and prophetic encouragement and warning to humanity.
- James 5:14-16
The Bible is…
Inspired by God and declares His design and plan for mankind.
- 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)
created in the image and likeness of God. Beginning even before conception, every life has value, regardless of age, background, gender, or race in the eyes of God and his Church. We are born into sin, but have been offered salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
- Genesis 1:26-27
- Romans 5:12-19
A gift from God given to all of humanity. This is receiving the forgiveness of sin offered by God through belief and confession in Jesus Christ as Lord. Salvation (born again, redeemed) is the first step in a beautiful adventure that shares the love of Jesus with humanity.
- Ephesians 2:8-10
- Titus 2:11; Titus 3:5-7
Is literally “Missing the Mark” in what we have done and what we fail to do. Sin is the representation that the world and all in it are broken and in need of healing. And the pain we feel because of sin leads to us to embrace the love and forgiveness of Jesus. Jesus removes the shame and guilt of sin so that we may live in freedom.
- Romans 6:6-14
- 1 John 1:9
Pastor Bill Hybels has said, “The local church is the hope of the world”. We believe that the church is not a building but a people who share the love of Jesus. We bring and represent the church with our lives in our home, work, school… our community and throughout the world.
- Ephesians 2:10, 19-22
We believe that Jesus calls us to be baptized as a symbol and visible profession of our salvation.
- Matthew 28:19
- Romans 6:4
We are in partnership with The Fellowship of Christian Assemblies.
