I came across this…

First off, it’s good to start with an encouraging word.

Once you get past this, there is some news about our FUTURE!!

Heavy With Favor

“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1, NKJV)
Notice that today’s verse doesn’t say that the glory of the Lord is going to come on you one day. It doesn’t say, “Maybe when the economy gets better, when you graduate from college, or when you get that good break.” No, it says God’s glory is already on you!

The word “glory” in the original language indicates that God’s favor, blessing and splendor is on you in a heavy way. It’s something that is tangible and has weight. Think about it this way: You are not less than, intimidated or weak; you are heavy with God’s favor. You are dripping with God’s goodness. Your attitude should be, “There’s no telling what’s in my future! I am weighted down, not with burdens, not with problems. I am weighted down with the favor of God.”

When you really understand that you are heavy with favor, then it’s easy to be heavy with expectation. It’s easy to believe for big things when you know God has favored you in a big way. It’s time for you to arise. It’s time for you to shine. Let that sink down into your spirit today because it’s time for you to arise and shine because His glory, His favor is heavy upon you!
Heavenly Father, I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I know that Your glory is upon me. I thank You for Your favor upon me, and I thank You for Your anointing power which breaks every yoke and moves me into freedom and blessing in Jesus’ name. Amen.
What a great verse that Isaiah 60:1 is. And Arise Church will plant on it, expand on it and live in it’s promise that God’s glory is upon us, upon us all. And we DO have favor. I wrestle with this knowing that a person living in the west, living in a home, maybe with a pool if you are in Arizona, with a steady income and healthcare, can be reading this verse and be thankful for it’s truth. I also know that a person in slavery, under impression, can read and apply the promise of this verse for themselves as well. While I don’t know how that happens, I know it can. What is most important in dealign with situations is our perspective and not the problem itself. And problems are horrible. Some are devastatingly horrific. But how many times have you met or heard of people that seemingly walk unscathed because their perspective is on something higher? Think of Nelson Mandela, Desmond Doss (Hacksaw Ridge), Sheryl Sandberg, amongst others.
I know when the problem is deep and we don’t sense the favor, we can cry out to God and He will respond. I don’t know how He will, or when, but I know He will.
His glory will rise upon you. His glory will rise upon us.
So pray that prayer with confidence and hope. “They that wait upon the Lord will have new strength!”
We are currently looking at a school to meet in. Details will come soon. It will be located in Arrowhead, which is in Northwest Peoria. Once we go through the process, we will post more information.
This is exciting for us! Please keep us in prayer!
We plan to beginning worship gatherings, creating our community and developing ourselves into the followers of Jesus He desires to reach out in the community. And then on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, we will have a huge launch celebration. Celebrating Jesus defeating death and rising into new life, as well as Arise rising up into new life.
It will be an incredible day!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
